Think of a podcast as a radio show. Each show consists of a series of individual episodes that you can listen to how you want — on your PC, using your MP3 player, or with just a web browser.

Let me just say on record I did not copy the name mod the Sims 2 and change the m with a p, it just sounded good, because I couldn’t use the Sims 2 podcast so I just shortened the name and there we go, this podcast is nothing to do with mod the Sims 2 at all and the name is just a coincidence, no seriously it is, I only just notice (15th Feb 2007).

So I guess I will start of from the beginning as you normally do. It all started around October (ish), and I had started to listen to podcasts and I was interested in what people were saying and the information I was getting. I was learning more from one podcast then I would ever, I guess due to the fact I hate reading long news reports I like to get the most important points. I then started to think, wouldn’t the Sims 2 be a good medium to have a podcast for. I knew about the official podcast but it had not been updated in around a year so I thought that the Sims 2 community needed a podcast with fresh views on the latest news. I thought about what I wanted to have in the podcast and it came down to the three important things I want to know about the Sims 2, and that is news, updates and comments from the community, and from that Pod The Sims 2 was born, and then I updated a lot of things such as the logo (that’s to out supporter simfantastic2 ) , having a web page and now a complete website allowing people to see the podcasts get the links and comment. So that is the story I know it’s not like I got hit on the head by an apple and discovered this amazing medium but what are you going to do I am only human ;).
